IT WAS the school musical that had you saying "wow" right from the very first cannon blast. 

Chinchilla Christian College's Mary Poppins Jr. was a spectacle audience members certainly won't be forgetting in a hurry. 

College principal, Nathan McDonald said he was blown away by the students performance as well as director, Stefanie Burke's vision and dedication to the project.

"From the minute the cannon went off it was just "wow" and the wow factor continued all the way through.

"I was really impressed with how everyone came together to produce something of such a high standard and have so much fun in the process."

Mr McDonald also said he was proud of the commitment the teachers and parents had made to the production as well. 

"There's been a lot of work behind the scenes to build the sets and sew the outfits and find the right props. There was a massive commitment to giving the students the best opportunity to shine on stage.

"The teachers and parents of Chinchilla Christian College care very deeply about the students and I think that really showed in this musical."
