45 volunteeers scour countryside for missing man

UPDATE: Queensland Police have released images of the car Mr Hargraves is believed to have been driving.

QPS asked anyone with any information on Mr Hardgraves' whereabouts, or who may have seen the below pictured vehicle on May 17 or 18, to phone Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

POLICE have started a land search for a Beaudesert man whose car was found abandoned Stanthorpe Texas Rd.

Jamie Hardgraves, 43, was last seen at Thiedke Road, Beaudesert on Tuesday May 17.

He's thought to be in the Texas area.

A search involving State Emergency Service volunteers yesterday failed to locate him.

The search has resumed today with 45 SES volunteers along with police from the Stock and Rural Crime Investigation Squad.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have travelled along the Stanthorpe Texas Road on May 17 and 18 and may have seen a man walking or hitchhiking to contact Crime Stoppers.

Landholders and residents in the area are also asked to check their properties in case the man has made his way onto their land.

Mr Hardgraves is described as Caucasian, about 175cm tall, proportionate build, short straight sandy hair with blue eyes.
