More than $140k raised for young mother killed in head-on
MORE than $145,000 has been raised for the family who lost a mother in a horrific car crash in Tasmania on Friday.
A pregnant mother died after a stolen car crashed into the car she was driving. Her 32-week-old unborn baby was delivered and her two-year-old son, who was also in the car at the time, was treated for minor injuries.
The baby was reported as being in a stable condition yesterday in intensive care.
The workplace of the woman's husband and the children's father, Banjo's Bakery Cafe, started an online fundraising campaign, which had raised more than $145,000 as of yesterday. More than 2700 people had donated.
Hundreds of people attended a candlelight vigil in Hobart CBD on the weekend to remember the mother.
