Shane Warne Foundation closes amid consumer affairs audit
THE Shane Warne Foundation announced it was closing its doors yesterday amid a consumer affairs investigation.
In a statement, the charity said speculation about its financial management was "unwarranted" and it had distributed $3.67 million to kids in need.
The foundation has faced claims of poor accounting and that much of the money raised is used for "administration".
A Consumer Affairs Victoria report is due by February 29.
