Search underway after plane crashes in Nepal

A PLANE carrying more than 20 people has crashed in west Nepal on a flight from the country's second largest city, Pokhara, to the trekking town of Jomson.

Media reported that two children and two foreign nationals from China and Kuwait were on board.

Searchers reportedly spotted a fire near a small village north-west of Pokhara.

The plane's owner, Tara Air, said conditions were favourable at the time of the crash and it had dispatched three helicopters on a search and rescue mission.
