A spoonful of entertainment to kick start your weekend
TONIGHT'S the night you'll be saying super-cala-fragalistic-expialidocious as students take to the stage to put all their hard work into practice.
After months of rehearsals, hundreds of hours spent creating props and costumes and weeks of chimney sweep practice, the students and staff of Chinchilla Christian College are finally ready for their opening night of Mary Poppins Jr the musical.
Director Stefanie Burke said the school musical is a wonderful chance to bring the Christian College community together and the beloved tale of Mary Poppins provides the perfect backdrop.
"It's that nice storyline, it's all about bringing family together, the importance of spending time with your family and connecting with your children.
"In the musical all the son wants to do is fly a kite with his father however he doesn't have time because he is so busy with work.

"Through Mary Poppins coming on as a nanny, she brings the family back together."
With an enormous cast of 93 students, the stage show has been in motion since the start of the year with rehearsals starting back in term one.
"There have been hours of work and commitment put in to bring it all together," Ms Burke said.
"It's going to be a really great show and we are excited to bring it to the public."
