Alleged drink driver’s head-on with car and horse trailer

A DALBY man crashed head-on with a car carrying a horse trailer near the Warrego Highway after allegedly being nearly three times limit.

Police attended the crash about 3.10pm along Dalby Kogan Rd at Ranges Bridge on October 18, where a 57-year-old man was allegedly driving on the wrong side of the road.

It will be alleged the man then collided with a car carrying a horse trailer head on.

The man was detained for a roadside blood and alcohol test, and allegedly returned a reading of 0.148.

He was charged with driving a car without due care and attention, disqualified driving, and drink driving.

He will face Dalby Magistrates Court on November 3.

A Queensland Ambulance spokesman said paramedics attended the crash, however no patients were transported to hospital.
