A QUEENSLAND woman has been arrested and is facing 44 charges over the alleged commercial supply of ice and illegal guns at Lismore and Casino.

Richmond police Crime Manager Acting Inspector Bernadette Ingram said 35-year-old Vanessa Ross was arrested when she attended Tweed Heads police station on Tuesday.

"It's alleged the woman supplied 592 grams of methylamphetamine, two litres of ephedrine and was involved in the illegal supply of seven firearms," she said.

Det Insp Ingram said police allege Ms Ross supplied ice and guns over the past six months across the Northern Rivers.

"Police will allege the woman was supplying the drug methylamphetamine, also known as 'ice', to a local syndicate in the Casino and Lismore areas."

Det Insp Ingram said the drug syndicate had no direct links to outlaw motorcycle gangs.

"Ice in this area is something that police are focusing on and these results are a demonstration of police cracking down on ice in our area," Det Insp Ingram said.

"This woman's arrest is going to have an impact on those people that have been involved in the supply (of ice).

"We implore the community to continue to provide us with information about the manufacture or supply of illegal drugs in the region."

Last month police charged six people with multiple offences including supplying a commercial quantity of prohibited drug, the illegal sale of firearms and participating in a criminal organisation.

Since investigations commenced police have executed 10 search warrants, including eight in one day in the Casino and Lismore areas.

Ross appeared in Tweed Heads Local Court on Tuesday afternoon and was remanded in custody to appear next month.

Anyone with any information about the manufacture, cultivation and supply of illegal drugs is urged to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
