PARAMEDICS won't visit a South Mackay woman's home without a police guard because the volatile 47-year-old has repeatedly turned on those helping her.

Jodie Maree Lawson from South Mackay has been jailed after her latest violent outburst, in which she kicked a female paramedic.

Lawson was previously convicted of threatened paramedics with a machete and throwing a glass at cop, which shattered and sent shards flying at a paramedic's face.

Fronting Mackay Magistrates Court on December 22 with a walking frame, Lawson pleaded guilty to seriously assaulting a person performing a lawful duty, public nuisance, possessing marijuana, and two counts of breaching bail.

While she was being taken to Mackay Base Hospital for treatment of a laceration, Lawson kicked out from a stretcher, connecting with the wrist of a female paramedic and causing pain to a pre-existing injury.

Police officers on scene took Lawson to hospital in handcuffs, while she continued to lash out.

Magistrate Ron Muirhead also heard Lawson verbally abused a schoolgirl waiting at bus stop.

The tirade included Lawson yelling at the girl to "shove some caramel up your c---".

The bail breaches involved alcohol consumption, which was not allowed as per Lawson's bail conditions.

When Lawson was taken to Mackay Watch-house, they found a small amount of marijuana.

Defence solicitor Erin Beer, of Legal Aid Queensland, said Lawson suffered "complex mental and physiological issues".

Ms Beer said the nuisance offence arose from a dispute between Lawson and her neighbours.

Lawson, who breached an outstanding suspended sentence, was sentenced to nine months jail, with parole release on March 20.
