Assault between young women ruins night in Gympie CBD

AN ALLEGED assault between women at the Royal Hotel was just one of the disturbances keeping Gympie police busy early Sunday morning.

Early reports suggest the two girls aged around 18 were arguing in the Lounge Bar at the hotel before one of them allegedly became violent.

Two police officers were called to the incident at about 1.20am, and will continue to investigate.

A number of males were involved in a disturbance at a Mount Pleasant Rd home at about 4.20am.

No official complaints of assault were made, so police will not investigate further.
