Attempting kidnap charges after women targeted

A MAN has been charged with stalking, sexual assault and attempted kidnapping after police were called to a man "acting suspiciously" on Tuesday.

Police believe the man "approached a number of women" between 7am and 9am in the Redcliffe and Scarborough area while driving a gold-coloured Hyundia Accent hatchback.

Police allege the Inala man demanded women get into his car, but each refused.

The man has been refused police bail and is scheduled to appear in the Redcliffe Magistrates Court on January 25.

Investigations are continuing.
