The Bachelorette's Courtney: I blew it big time

THE Bachelorette's front-runner Courtney Dober promises viewers will see a new, serious side to him.

The industrial designer from Melbourne got on Georgia Love's bad side tonight after throwing a challenge during a medieval-themed group date.

It was the second time he had sacrificed potential one-on-one time with Love to give another one of the bachelors a chance, much to the frustration of Georgia.

"I blew it big time," Courtney told APN.

"I think once again I tried to be the nice guy. I come from a big family of four and one of the things mom and dad drilled into us from a young age was always about sharing, equal time and not to be selfish.

"That definitely played a part tonight and got me into trouble... I made a mistake, I was the first to admit it and I paid the price."

Georgia sent a strong message to Courtney, to whom she gave the first impression rose, during tonight's rose ceremony, leaving him to the very last before eliminating intruder Matteo.

"I was absolutely sweating bullets standing up there," he said.

"Unfortunately this is situation where you need to be selfish ad you need to think about yourself. I very much realised it after tonight's mistake and you'll see a very different Courtney moving forward."

The 30-year-old vowed to play a 'selfish game' from now on, focusing solely on his relationship with Georgia.

"Enough building friendships; I'm here to fall in love," he said.

"You do not see me lose another challenge (after this).

"I feel like I have a bloody strong connection with her.  From the moment we started spending time together it felt like something pretty unique and special and something that's not going to end any time soon."

The Bachelorette continues tomorrow at 7.30pm on Channel 10.
