Bail for woman charged with attempted murder
A MIDDLE-AGED woman accused of attempted murder has been granted bail.
Maria Ioana Teresia Purcell was charged with the offence this week, following an incident in which a 60-year-old man was stabbed.
The man sustained multiple cuts and a head injury.
He was taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital for treatment.
Ms Purcell, 54, also sustained a stab wound to the chest and cuts and was treated at the hospital as well.
It is alleged the pair sustained their injuries after an altercation at a Redbank Plains address on October 10.
At Ipswich Magistrates Court on Wednesday, Ms Purcell was granted bail.
