Boat to be crushed after illegal crabbing operation
PEOPLE illegally crabbing have been penalised in the toughest way for their crime, with their fishing boat to be crushed by the State Government.
A modified fishing boat will be destroyed on Wednesday

The boat was used by three recreational fishers who were convicted of illegal crabbing in March this year.
The boat had a secret compartment with 69 live mud crabs hidden in it.
It was forfeited to the state along with its motor, trailer and crab pots.
Mr Byrne said the destruction served as a timely reminder to everyone to follow the rules and crab responsibly.
