'Bout time: Mayweather, McGregor set date
THE time for talk is over. Conor McGregor will fight Floyd Mayweather on August 26, according to reports.
It is believed the two parties have come to a deal that will see the UFC and boxing icons go head-to-head in Las Vegas in a little over two months.
The Nevada State Athletic Commission approved an August 26 fight date for Mayweather Promotions for an event expected to be held at MGM Grand Garden Arena, but there are suggestions the megafight may also take place at the T-Mobile Arena.
Both men took to social media to confirm the fight. McGregor has early won an early battle over Mayweather, trolling his opponent by tweeting a picture of his father, Floyd Mayweather senior.
