UPDATE 10.30am:

THREE people and a dog have been rescued from a capsized boat in Bustard Head, near Agnes Water, early this morning.

A RACQ LifeFlight spokeswoman said the boat ran out of fuel at about 4.30am and washed up on to rocks, causing it to capsize.

"The three occupants and their dog managed to swim ashore to safety, however, a female in her 20s suffered cuts and bruises and required airlifting by the RACQ LifeFlight helicopter to Bundaberg Hospital for further treatment," the spokeswoman said.

"The others were airlifted by another air-medical service."

Queensland Ambulance Service flight paramedics were flown to the scene from Rockhampton and Bundaberg.

All patients travelled in a stable condition.

Earlier 8.20am:

A BOATING accident at Agnes Water has left one woman in hospital suffering a head injury this morning.

At 5.16am Queensland Ambulance Service was called to Bustard Head where a boat had capsized.

It was alleged they may have hit rocks.

Three people were involved in the accident.

One of the three, a 22-year-old woman, suffered head injuries and was flown to the Bundaberg Hospital.

She was flown by RACQ Careflight Rescue in a stable condition.

Round Hill VMR were also tasked to the rescue.
