Bull riders ready to rumble at PBR

With the Professional Bull Riders’ sanctioned Rural Weekly Live Series at Dalby Showgrounds shaping up to be one of the most anticipated events of the season, bull riders and spectators alike are gearing up for an exciting evening.

The competition will match up the most accomplished riders in the country against agile and athletic bucking bulls for eight seconds at a time.

Professional bull rider Sam O’Connor is anticipating an extremely competitive event as the bull riders attempt to secure rankings and entry to the Cairns Invitational.

With almost 13 years of bull riding experience and an impressive list of achievements, the 25-year-old is ready for the challenge.

“I’m really hoping to do better than last year,” he said.

“The start of the season was tough coming back from an injury but it’s going pretty well now; I’m currently qualified for Cairns and ranked about 14th.

“The season has been picking up as everybody is trying to secure rankings.”
