Bureau of Meteorology confirms showers heading our way

THE BUREAU of Meteorology confirmed that Dalby and surrounds will see multiple showers throughout the next week.

Metrologist Gabriel Branescu said that isolated showers are on the way with some ‘weak’ storms hitting the west of the town.

“Dalby will see some active showers throughout the week,” he said.

“The clouds will still hang around for the first half of the week before they move offshore.”

While Dalby has experienced a cold snap over the last fortnight, Mr Branescu said the cold air mass will take a back seat for a couple of days as temperatures increase by three to four degrees.

“The middle of the week will become dry before cooler temperatures return for the weekend,” Mr Branescu said.

“A high pressure mass from the South West created the cold air mass which is why the mornings were so fresh.

“It’s making it’s way East so that will hopefully provide some comfort for those who aren’t too fond of the cold.”
