
Bystander uses a chair to stop alleged teen robber
A teenage boy has been charged following the attempted armed robbery of a takeaway food store at Inala last night.
It will be alleged that around 6.30pm, a male entered the Skylark Street business armed with a metal bar and demanded money, striking the counter with the bar.
A male bystander armed himself with a chair and has confronted the boy, managing to disarm him. The boy was then restrained until police arrived.
No one was injured during the incident.
A 15-year-old Inala boy was charged with enter premises and commit indictable offence, attempted armed robbery and common assault.
He will be dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justice Act 1992.
