CareFlight chopper airlifts man to Brisbane

A MAN in his 20s has been airlifted to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane following a horror car crash at Glen Aplin this morning.

The RACQ CareFlight rescue chopper could be seen leaving Stanthorpe Hospital at about 1:30pm.

Five men were travelling south on the New England Highway when their car left the road, rolled and ploughed in to a tree.

Two men aged 22 and 30 were airlifted to Toowoomba Hospital with suspected head and spinal injuries, while the driver, a 27-year-old South Korean man escaped mostly unharmed.
