WEATHER TIMELAPSE: City cops ‘cool’ 34 degrees

PEOPLE living on the coast should consider themselves lucky this week as inland towns such as Biloela are set to fry.

For the next four days Biloela can expect day-time temperatures to reach 37, 38, 39 and 37 respectively.

Gladstone's outlook is equally as sunny but, with maximum temperatures reaching 31, 32, 33 and 34, keeping cool will be more manageable.

It appears the rain gods have knocked off work early and won't be back until Sunday, when there is a slight-to-medium chance of showers in Gladstone, Rockhampton and Biloela.

Farmers hanging out for a proper downpour will be disappointed to read the Bureau of Meteorology is predicting zero to four millimetres of rain across the region.

On Sunday there will be a chance of a thunderstorm in all three locations.

In the next four days the BOM has issued an extreme UV alert so don't forget to take care and slip, slop, slap, especially during the hottest periods of the day.
