Cold mornings set in for the week

THE WESTERN Downs froze this morning with temperatures dropping below zero.

Dalby felt the brunt of the morning chill, with the Bureau of Meteorology recording -3.9 degrees Celsius.

Further west, Miles residents woke up to temperatures of -1.7.

Michelle Berry, from the Bureau of Meteorology, said Western Downs residents were going to feel the cold for at least the next two mornings.

"It will be another very cold morning tomorrow,” she said.

"There is a very dry air-mass and light winds with clear skies which bring cold temperatures.”

Wide spread frost is expected for tomorrow and Wednesday morning, Ms Berry said.

"Temperatures are expected to remain below average through to Thursday or Friday,” she said.
