Council reveals what will happen to Dalby cinema staff after COVID-19 shutdown

AS further restrictions are placed onto Australians to combat the spread of COVID-19, more and more businesses are forced to close their doors and more employees are left without jobs.

The Western Downs Regional council however has made sure that recent closures of the council-owned Dalby cinema won’t affect their staff in the long run.

“Council is doing everything in its power to support staff and the Western Downs community,” a council spokesman said.

Western Downs cinemas made the announcement earlier this week, that both the Dalby and Chinchilla services will be suspended for the foreseeable future.

“Council is focused on supporting affected staff through this unprecedented event and has ensured they remain employed by allowing them to undertake other duties.”

“This is a major challenge being faced right around the world.
