CRIME WRAP: Police break up alleged drunken street fight

DALBY police had to intervene in an alleged drunken street fight between three men outside a Western Downs premises.

Sergeant Sean Donaghy said police were called to an alleged public nuisance incident at about 3.30am on September 13.

According to police, a 26-year-old Dalby man had been asked to leave from the Russell Tavern.

Police will allege a fight then ensued on Cunningham St between the man and two other suspects who are known to police shortly afterwards.

The man was given an on the spot infringement notice.

Police had intercepted an alleged drug driver two hours prior about 1.15am on Drayton St.

A 43-year-old Dalby man was tested for drugs and alcohol, and returned a positive reading for a relevant drug roadside.

A sample was sent away to Queensland Health for analysis.
