Dalby businesses cashing in on the corona-craze
WITH the pandemonium of the coronavirus getting bigger each day, it’s only natural that businesses have begun to cash in on the epidemic.
Dalby’s T & H Service Centre on Drayton Street in Dalby have thought of a scheme to make sure the Dalby public are prepared while still getting business through the door.
The business is offering a free roll of toilet paper every time they fill up their engine.
“The boss thought that it would be a win-win situation,” service centre worker Dan laughed.
“We have had around a dozen come through and collect fuel for toilet paper.”
While the shelves are still stocked for toilet paper in Dalby, the team on Drayton St aren’t taking any chances.
“If the town does run out over the weekend we will have plenty here,” Dan said.
“There are a couple hundred rolls out the back which I am sure the boss man will make sure to lock up tonight.”
In the last 24-hours, shoppers have seemingly gone into purge mode, wiping supermarkets clean of toilet paper.
Both Coles and Woolworths have began to limit customers on quantities as fights have begun to break out, with one man being tasered and arrested by police for assaulting another man in Tamworth.
