Dalby drivers paying too much for fuel: RACQ
DALBY motorists should be paying less for fuel, according to the state's peaking motoring body.
Most petrol stations in the region are offering unleaded fuel at more than 150 cents per litre (cpl) this morning, well above what we should be paying according to the RACQ.
Lucinda Ross from the automotive club said motorists should avoid stations which are charging well above the accepted rate.
"The fair fuel price in Dalby at the moment is 146.9cpl so drivers should aim to fill up for as close to that as possible,” she said.
"The only way to shop for cheaper fuel in regional areas like Dalby is to punish the servos ripping drivers off, and only fill up and those offering a good price.”
United and Puma are the closest to the mark as of 10am, with their unleaded fuel being sold for 148.9cpl.
Both are the only stations selling unleaded for less than 150cpl.
