Dalby forklift set on fire

AN UNKNOWN number of people set fire to a forklift in Dalby last night.

Dalby Police sergeant Tony Logue said one or more people drove the forklift inside a Nicholson St property before setting it alight just before midnight.

"An unknown number of offenders climbed on the forklift, drove it to the gates and came to a stop at the north east end of the property," he said.

"The unknown offender or offenders set the forklift on fire by unknown means."

No one was at the scene when police and fire crews arrived.

The forklift was "extensively damaged" and investigations are continuing.
