Man arrested for rampage at shopping centre

A MAN has secured himself a date with a magistrate at Dalby Court next month after he was arrested for shouting abuse at workers in Dalby Shoppingworld.

The 49-year-old is alleged to have kicked a display in the Telstra store and started to verbally abuse staff last Tuesday in the afternoon of April 21, according to Dalby police sergeant Sean Donaghy.

Police allege security was called to the shopping centre where the man reportedly continued to verbally abuse them.

Police were called and the man was arrested and charged with public nuisance.

He was taken to the Dalby watch house and is expected to face the Dalby Magistrates Court on May 19.
