Dalby man’s antics after alleged street fight with juvenile

A DALBY man who was caught allegedly street fighting a juvenile while on bail trashed his cell by throwing toilet paper and food all over the walls.

Police found the 40-year-old along Drayton St about 10.35pm on October 24, allegedly fighting with a juvenile.

The man was arrested at the scene for committing a public nuisance, and obstructing police was transported to the Dalby watch house.

He was then further charged with breaching his bail conditions, as he is meant to have a blood alcohol reading under 0.05 per cent.

When he was tested at the station, he returned a blood alcohol reading of 0.224 per cent.

Police allege after the man was lodged in the watch house, he exhibited destructive behaviour by covering the cell cameras in wet toilet paper, and throwing food all over the walls.

The man was then further charged with two counts of wilful damage, and two counts of obstructing police.

The 40-year-old faced Dalby Magistrates Court yesterday, and was remanded in custody to appear in Toowoomba Magistrates Court on November 3 for a mention.
