Dalby pubs come alive for New Year's Eve

IF THERE is ever an excuse to get into the party spirit, it's New Year's Eve.

Events around Dalby are set to end the year with a bang as pubs in the town host nights to celebrate the end of 2018 and the start of 2019.

O'Shea's Windsor Hotel will be hosting a shindig featuring DJ Will Steve.

Employee Lindslay Troutman said the music would kick off at about 9pm, with lights being turned down low.

"I'm setting up glow sticks,” said Mr Troutman. "and I think we'll have something on the screen.”

The Country Club Hotel will also be featuring a DJ from 8pm until late.

$500 is up for grabs for one lucky patron at the Australian Hotel Motel on the night.

A spokesperson at the hotel said raffle tickets were already being given to patrons.

Tickets will continue to be distributed until midnight on New Year's Eve, at which point the prize would be drawn.

Music lovers are in for a treat at the Russell Tavern's Minutes 2 Midnight, which features live music from bands including the Dalby-based heavy metal band Asura DEVA, with music kicking off from 10pm.
