SEARCHING: Police spent Friday night searching for a man who allegedly took some money from a Dalby residence.

Dalby resident found stranger in home, searching through drawers

A DALBY residence was entered unlawfully by an alleged offender who is said to have take a sum of money from the address, according to police.

Dalby police officer-in-charge senior sergeant Terry McCullough said the offender allegedly entered a house on Drayton Street through the unlocked back door.

He said the offender then allegedly rummaged through some drawers and a cupboard before taking a collection of money.

A resident of the house went to the bathroom when they saw the person in their house.

The alleged offender felt the house, according to snr sgt McCullough, and police were called.

Dalby police conducted patrols but were unable to locate the suspect.
