DETAILS: Man pulls knife during Dalby pub brawl

A FIGHT between two men in the beer garden of the Criterion ended when one allegedly pulled a knife on the other, before running from the scene.

Acting Officer in Charge sergeant Sean Donaghy said at 10.45pm on Saturday, a 21-year-old male and a 24-year-old male were involved in an altercation at the Criterion when the 21-year-old allegedly produced a knife, and then fled from the scene.

Sgt Donaghy confirmed he was later arrested at his home and charged with possessing a knife in a public place, committing public nuisance, and going armed so as to cause fear.

He will appear in Dalby Magistrates Court on August 11.

The 24-year-old male was issued with an $800 infringement notice for violent behaviour inside a licensed premises.
