Driver stranded for hours in Cooyar crash

A SERIOUS single vehicle rollover at Cooyar has reportedly left the driver stranded in the vehicle for hours.

The crash is believed to have occurred around midnight on Friday, March 8 on Cooyar Mount Binga Rd. 

According to a Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman, the crash was reported at 6.54am on Saturday morning.

"The male patient who'd been involved in the accident has been found by someone several hours later," she said.

"He was conscious when paramedics arrived."

The man, whose age is unknown at this time, has back, arm and chest injuries.

He is reported to be in a serious but stable condition.

The RACQ LifeFlight helicopter is on scene, preparing to airlift the man to Sunshine Coast University Hospital.
