Fight between two men ends in manslaughter charges

POLICE have charged a 28-year-old Murarrie man following investigations into the death of a man in Murarrie overnight.

Officers were called to an address on Herbert Street shortly before midnight following reports a man had been allegedly assaulted during an altercation between two men.

On arrival, police located a 30-year-old man at the address who was unconscious. The man was unable to be revived and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

A 28-year-old man was taken into custody and was later charged with one count of manslaughter.

He is due to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court tomorrow.
