Good Start Early Learning's Findlay (Ms Finny) Scougall lives and breathes her career, saying the children she looks after have been an enormous part of her life.

"I've had such a big part to do with these kids, shaping them into the people they are before they can walk and talk," she said.

"It's been so nice watching them grow, and being there for them when they're excited about their new dog, or when they're excited to come in and tell me something."

Ms Scougall said during her three years at Goodstart, she's been able assist her kids when they were one, and now most of them are just about to start school.

"I've built some really good relationships with kids and families over the years," she said.

"They've all become very close to me, and me to them.

"I couldn't imagine doing anything else."

Dalby Daycare's Carmen Duvel said she was "absolutely privileged" to be nominated for Dalby's best childcare educator 2020, saying she loves her role in her community supporting children and their families.

"I aim to support each individual child within their learning, emotionally, physically and mentally," she said.

"I have continued to support children and families throughout their day by having secure and trusting relationships and appreciate that they have nominated me."

Throughout her career, Ms Duvel has aimed to provide welcoming environments that support both families and children, and encourages the learning and growth of each child in her care.

"I enjoy spending my time, helping and supporting children within my care to learn and grow into independent, happy, curious learners," she said.

"I am honoured that being nominated means I am making a positive impact in my little people'

Elise Spence has been a part of the Good Start Early Learning team for nearly two years, and has loved every moment she has spent in the nursery.

"I love those babies like they're my own children, I love them and the constant baby cuddles," she said.

"I've been lucky enough to have so many relationships with the children and their families since I've started, and being in their lives is great."

Originally starting her traineeship in Brisbane, Ms Spence has always gravitated to early learning as she grew up in a fairly young family with babies and children always around the house.

"I thought I'd come back to my home town to be closer to my family," she said.

"Then Goodstart came up, so I applied, and I've been loving it ever since."

Having been at the Dalby Daycare Centre for more than five years, Lacey Spendelove couldn't imagine doing anything else with her life.

"The fact that I get to watch these little people grow is the best," she said.

"I get to watch these little people grow, and I get to help them achieve the best start possible with their learning."

Ms Spendelove said she was incredibly humbled to be nominated in the poll, let alone to become a finalist, and pins it down to how she interacts with not only the kids, but their parents.

"I like to be able to connect with the families and not just the children," she said.

"I like being able to create that relationship with both, in order for the children to get the best education that they can."

"It's the most rewarding job," she said.

"Everyday I come in and I'm part of a team wanting the best for the children and their families, and it's all about their development and their learning," she said.

"It's awesome."

Ms Geiger has been a part of the team in the nursery for ten months now, working in Kingsthorpe previously, but has enjoyed the move to Dalby.
