Fire burning outside of Tara

Update: QUEENSLAND Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) crews remain on scene at a bushfire burning near South Rd and Myra Rd, Tara.

In a statement QFES said the fire is burning within containment lines and crews will continue to work on scene throughout the day.

If affected, residents are advised to close windows and doors, the announcement said.

The statement said those suffering from a respiratory condition should keep their medications close by and motorists are advised to drive with caution and to conditions.

If residents are concerned their property is under threat they are advised to call Triple Zero (000) immediately.

Earlier (Dec 3, 1:08pm): QUEENSLAND Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) crews are on scene at a bushfire burning near South Road and Myra Road, Tara.
