Friends seek clothes, donations to help house fire victims

UPDATE 3.30pm: FRIENDS of the family who lost their home in a fire this morning are raising money to help them get back on their feet.

Damian Rose started a campaign on GoFundMe seeking $5000 for the Bidner family as well as donations of kitchenware and adult and children's clothing.

Mr Rose has already raised $2400 and a number of people have enquired about where to leave donations.

Mr Rose wrote in the GoFundMe campaign description, "early this morning they lost everything, including pets in a house fire.

"My family have known Matthew, Claire and the family for a long time now, and to see them lose everything makes us all hurt a lot," he said.

"I know money won't bring back numerous things you've lost but hopefully it helps you all in many other ways."
