Mound of materials set alight near empty block of land

REPORTS of a grass fire sent fire crews fleeing to a site on Curtis St, but found a mound of materials had caught alight.
A stack of timber on top of a pile of sand measuring 40m by 10m caught alight at an address on Curtis St just after midday, according to a QFES media spokeswoman.
Two crews are on the scene working to extinguish the blaze and investigate the cause of the fire.
