Flume leads nominations for 30th annual ARIA Awards

FLUME leads this year's  ARIA Awards nominations, and is already a multiple award winner.

The powerhouse electronic producer and musician has received 11 nominations in total, including a clean sweep of three Artisan awards.

At today's ARIA nominations ceremony, ARIA Awards were presented to the recipients of three ARIA Artisan Award categories and four ARIA Fine Arts Awards categories and Best Comedy Release.

Flume won all three Artisan ARIA Awards he was nominated for - Producer Of The Year, Engineer Of The Year (with Eric Dubowsky) and Best Cover Art (Jonathan Zawada) - for his No 1 album Skin.

"All of the artists nominated in all the categories, truly demonstrate the influence and wonderful creativity of Australian music," said ARIA Chairman and Chairman & CEO of Sony Music Entertainment Australia and New Zealand & President, Asia Denis Handlin.

"We look forward to a very special ARIAs, at The Star Sydney, to commemorate the successes of the past year and also to celebrate the 30 incredible years of the ARIA Awards."

Flume, who will also perform at the 30th anniversary awards ceremony next month, is up against pop star Sia, three-piece RUFUS, internet star Troye Sivan and returning electro favourites The Avalanches for the top gong of Telstra Artist Of The Year.

Sivan was the next most-nominated artist on seven nominations, followed by Illy, Sia and The Avalanches on six nods each.

The special anniversary event will feature a bumper line-up of live performances, collaborations, special guest appearances and the induction of Crowded House into the ARIA Hall Of Fame.

Viewers can also expect appearances from nominees including Guy Sebastian, Jessica Mauboy, Delta Goodrem, Violent Soho, Bernard Fanning, L D R U and Montaigne.

Fans have the chance to have their say in who takes home the four publicly-voted awards: Best International Artist, Best Australian Live Act, Best Video and Apple Music Song of the Year.

For the first time this year, fans can also vote for the Apple Music Song of the Year by playing their favourite song in Apple Music.

The 2016 ARIA Awards will be held in Sydney on November 23.
