FOUR men have escaped serious injury after their car rolled into a ditch on Kenilworth Skyring Creek Rd at about 11.50am on Sunday.

According the Snr Const Bill Greer, the driver and his three passengers sustained minor injuries and were "shaken up" by the crash, which left the car on its roof in a ditch beside the road.

Snr Const Greer said it is believed the driver lost control of the vehicle after it drifted onto the gravel skirting the road.

"It appears they may have overcorrected and swerved into the gully on the other side," he said.

No other cars were involved in the accident, although Snr Const Greer said the young driver was "considerably upset" due to the car's damage, which was not insured.

Overall though, he said, the four were "very very lucky" as emergency crews were able to respond extremely quickly, as they were just finishing attending a fatal motorcycle accident which happened a few kilometers away on Tuchekoi Rd earlier in the morning.
