Frigid weather hits Dalby
DALBY residents woke to the coldest morning of the year yesterday, after the mercury fell to just 3 degrees.
The winter-like temperature was recorded at 5.30am. But Dalby's apparent temperature, which takes into consideration factors such as wind, was just 0.5 degrees.
The day remained crisp, peaking at 17.6 degrees at 3pm; although, it felt more like 12 degrees.
Bureau of Meteorology spokesperson Jess Carey said temperatures would warm slightly towards the end of the week before plunging again.
"Not too much will change during Wednesday but by Thursday conditions will improve slightly with the gradual decay of the low off the NSW coast and the high off Victoria/South Australia," he said.
"It is likely that another high will move into the Bight on Friday which is expected to direct another pulse of dry, cool air through the interior of Queensland over the weekend."
