Police to take blood sample after crash

UPDATE 10AM: Police will obtain a blood sample from one of the drivers involved in a crash on a busy Ipswich intersection this morning.

Two vehicles collided at the corner of Raceview and Cascade streets about 8.30am, with a witness telling police one of the drivers went through a red light.

Police suspect one of the drivers may have been affected by alcohol.

A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said three people were treated for minor injuries at the scene.

 

EARLIER: Police are at the scene of a traffic crash where it is suspected one of the drivers has run a red light.

Two vehicles collided at the intersection of Cascade and Raceview streets, Raceview, about 8.30am.

Witnesses have told police one of the drivers was causing a disturbance at the scene.

Firefighters have also been called following reports of a fuel leak.

There are no serious injuries.
