GALLERY: Incredible aerial photos reveal extent of flooding
AS THE extent of the damage and heartache continues to be realised across the wider Mackay region, the same body of water makes slow tracks south towards Rockhampton.
Aerial images taken Tuesday and Wednesday by RACQ Capricorn Helicopter Rescue Service in the south show the slow-rising waters, due now to hit a peak of 9m in the city Thursday and close the Rockhampton Airport for up to two weeks.
