Gamer on mission to reach even higher level

FRESH off his first overseas competition, Dalby man Brodie Ryan is wanting to go again.

His side finished sixth in a large competition of the game Paladins, held in Atlanta.

Brodie has been back in Australia putting in plenty of hours in the hope of qualifying for the next tournament in July.

He said his first experience of tournament gaming was an eye-opener.

"They had just opened up a new studio specifically for this type of event,” Brodie said.

"When we walked in I was pretty astounded. They have practice rooms for us with the highest-end gear on the market just for us to play.

"I believed in myself that I had the ability to play games professionally and make money off that. I knew it was something I could do with my skill level.”
