Girl, 5, stabbed multiple times
A FIVE-year-old girl who was stabbed multiple times in an attack in Ballarat, western Victoria, is now in a stable condition.
The girl was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after the attack at Learmonth Road in Mitchell Park at about 3:00pm on Sunday.
Her condition was initially listed as critical but overnight it was updated to stable by officials at Ballarat Base Hospital.
She suffered wounds in a number of areas, including her upper body.
