Gold Coast man charged after shooting incidents

GOLD Coast detectives have charged a man in relation to two alleged shooting incidents at Worongary and Helensvale on Tuesday.

Police will allege that the man discharged a firearm around 7.45pm near a residence at San Fernando Drive, Worongary and around 10pm at Sarina Place, Helensvale.

A 26-year-old Arundel man has been charged with threatening violence - discharge firearms, discharge weapon public place, discharge of weapon on private land without owner's consent, burglary and commit indictable offence, authority required to possess explosives (ammunition), possess dangerous drugs, unlawful use of motor vehicle, and two counts of wilful damage. He is expected to appear at the Southport Magistrates Court tomorrow (May 23).

A 28-year-old Helensvale woman has been charged with two counts of accessories after the fact. She is expected to appear at the Southport Magistrates Court on June 5.
