GOT THEM: Dalby Police catch break and enter culprits
DALBY Criminal Investigations Branch have charged two juveniles following investigations into a spate of break and enters occurring against local businesses in the Dalby township within the last month.
From March 7-21, nine properties were broken into in Dalby, most with a similar mode of entrance.
A 14-year-old Dalby girl and a 15-year-old Dalby boy have been charged with a total of 38 offences, including enter premises and commit indictable offence, burglary, fraud and other offences.
Businesses including the Dalby Hotel-Motel, Forbes Realty and Insync Fitness and Training were broken into this month by the pair.
Just last week Dalby Police Senior-Sergeant Terry McCullough told the Dalby Herald several investigations are being conducted by police from crimes this month.
"We have seen in the recent spate of offences, business windows being smashed-in, which is a new mode of entry for Dalby,” Snr-Sgt McCullough said.
"We have seen an increase in break-and- enters, and hopefully we will catch the offenders.”
Snr-Sgt McCullough said there appeared to be no outstanding reason why businesses were being targeted, with many either having minimal items stolen or nothing at all.
