High calibre of fashion and racing
JANDOWAE held their annual race day on Saturday, drawing people from around the region for the high calibre of racing, and fashions.
The five-race program produced some outstanding results, especially for some of our own, home-grown trainers and jockeys.
Race one, the Bill Sullivan Maiden Plate 1000m, was won by Aquabill from trainer Royce Connolly.
Navillus Stryker and Spezia Lady came in a close second and third respectively.
Race two, the Dalby Business Houses & AGL QTIS Benchmark 50 Handicap 1000m, was a very close call but was ultimately won by E11 Temerity trained by Dalby's Grant Arnold.
Cyclone Kaycee came in a very close second, with El Demonio trailing in third.
The Wambo Cup & Jandowae Memorial Benchmark 60 Handicap 1200m was won convincingly by Rebel Saga from Graham Banks, with Spur With Ease and Red Deck coming in behind.
Dalby's Matt Kropp took out second place in the Jandowae Cup Benchmark 65 Handicap 1500m with Splitz, defeated only by Money Ad and trailed by Silent Flyer.
The final race of the day, the Jandowae Business Houses & Trainers Trophy Class B Handicap 1500m, was won by Kieran Kirwin's De Bandit Vega, with She's My Andy and Swagman coming in behind in second and third.
The calibre of fashion on the day was just as high as the racing.
