Hospital grateful for funds

DALBY Hospital has new equipment for their renal service thanks to a huge fundraising effort by the Rotary Club.

"This donation of $9,500 has been used for the purchase of a VScan Extend Dual Probe, which will be used in our renal dialysis unit,” Director of Nursing Bronwyn Luxon said.

"This state-of-the-art piece of diagnostic equipment is a hand-held ultrasound which is small, portable and easy to use for tasks such as detecting the presence of fluid.

"The VScan will make performing an ultrasound a much quicker and easier process, so we are extremely grateful to the Rotary Club of Dalby for this extremely generous donation.”

Ms Luxon said the hospital's renal service began in 2016 and had been welcomed by local patients.
