WATCH: Humpback playfully photobombs pair's holiday picture
THE special moment a cheeky humpback whale photobombs a Dublin couple's holiday photo in Hervey Bay has been captured on video.
The photobomb was captured by Peter Lynch from Blue Dolphin Marine Tours during one of the last trips of the season.
"It's really special to see something like this in person - even more so when it's a mother and her calf right beside her," Peter said.
"This is why we run the tours, allowing guests such a close encounter." he said.
As the pair wait for the photo to be taken, the huge mammal stretches out one of its fins and starts waving, capturing the attention of the whale watchers on board.

Looking forward to another cracking whale watching season in the Bay in 2016, Peter said he always hoped guests made the connection with the whales which will affect their choices regarding the environment and conservation.
Peter and his wife Jodie have been running their tours in Hervey Bay since 1997.
They have been working with dolphins and whales since 1983.
